Home Remedies to Relieve Gum Pain Naturally

Gum pain can be and may have various causes, like gingivitis, irritation from brushing or infection. Here are 10 effective home remedies to ease gum pain and restore your comfort.

1. SaltWater rinse

  • Add 1 teaspoon of salt in glass of warm water and mix it well.
  • Swish the solution around your mouth for 30-40 seconds and spit it out
  • Repeat it 2-3 time in a day to heal inflamation part and kill bacteria.
2.Turmeric Paste
  • Take 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, salt and sesame oil(tilli ka tel) just as much to for a paste.
  • Apply it to affected gums and let it sit to effective for 10 minutes. Turmeric has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties
  • And rinse with warm water.
3. Clove Oil
  • Apply a small amount of clove oil directly using swab to painful area.

4. Coconut Oil Pulling
  • Take 1 tablespoon of coconut oil and swish in your mouth for 10-15 minutes.
  • Spit it out(do not swallow it) and rinse your mouth with warm water.

5. Tea Bags
  • Put a tea bag (Black or Green Tea) in hot water for few minutes.
  • let it cool, then place the tea bag on affected gum.
  • Tea contain tannis that help to reduce pain and swelling.
6. Cold Compress
  • Take a clean cloth and wrap it around ice cubes or use cold  pack.
  • Put it outside of your cheek upon painful are for 10-15 minutes.
  • This can reduce swelling and numb the pain.

  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to promote saliva production and wash away bacteria.
